This is an early recording by an involved person from those early years of the BHC movement (1882). Clara Lowe knew Annie Macpherson and her work in London from those early years on Commercial Street so it is a good book to read. It gives a good look at the inside of Annie Macpherson's work of rescuing children from the streets of London's East End and the problems of poverty and degradation associated with the Children and their families.
